COURSE TITLE 9 Month Intensive City & Guilds IVQ Level 1 Certificate, Level 2 Diploma and Level 3 Advanced Diploma (1122)

Is this course for you? The Salon Educators course will take a learner from the Level 1 Certificate to Level 3 Advanced Diploma to give the learner the skills needed to work in a salon as a qualified stylist or colourist or to educate other learners.

What do you need to get on the course? You need no experience in hairdressing. 

How long is the course? 9 months

When would you be attending? This course is full time

When does the course start? From September 2011 and throughout the year

What is the course about?  The course is structured over three City & Guilds Modules:

Level 1 Certificate to provide a broad introduction to the theory and practical sides of hairdressing for a person starting work in a salon

Level 2 Diploma to provide a more practice involving a broader range of skills appropriate to a person who may be working independently

Level 3 Advanced Diploma to provide a learner with further development in specific hairdressing skills, and development of skills appropriate to a person who may also be supervising others

Is work experience a necessary part of the course? Yes - If you are not currently working in a salon, Salon Educators will arrange this for you

How will you be assessed? Through practical sessions and then a written multi choice examination paper for each Level

What qualifications will you achieve? City & Guilds IVQ Level 1 Certificate, Level 2 Diploma and Level 3 Advanced Diploma (1122)

What can this course lead to? Employment within a professional salon environment with the ability to work unsupervised or train others.
